As of September 1, new apprentices started again this year at our Rastatt and Finnentrop sites. The new apprentices, consisting of three industrial mechanics and one industrial clerk at our Rastatt site and one industrial clerk at our Finnentrop site, were given an initial insight into the diversity of training at medifa during the first few weeks.
In Rastatt, the apprenticeship adventure began with a week of getting to know each other together with the apprentices of the higher years of training.
After the introduction round by our CEO Mr. Christian Keller, the trainees were given an insight into our production plant and mastered a tower construction challenge in which they competed against the construction.
In order to get to know each other better, they went to Murgtal together the next day. There the group dynamics were challenged by abseiling from a 15m high bridge, a riverbed hike and rafting. Thereby the apprentices learned to recognise their limits and go beyond them.
In the following days, our new apprentices received information about the content of the apprenticeship, business rules of conduct, company goals, production structure and work instructions for working at medifa. In addition, the existing apprentices presented the rights and duties of instructors and trainees. For relaxation and to get to know each other further, they had the opportunity to complete further teambuilding games in between. At the end of the week, the junior staff took part in a company rally through the premises of the medifa location and then finished off the week of getting to know each other with a pleasant final dinner.
We wish our new trainees a good start and a successful time at medifa.
